Lucky San Rafael area fans won’t need to tune into the Food Network this week to see the host of the popular cooking show “Barefoot Contessa”, Ina Garten. Instead, those who purchased tickets early can see Garten take the stage  in a special event lecture on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012 in Angelico Hall at 7 p.m.

The Garten event, hosted by Dominican University of California’s Institute for Leadership Studies, sold out the 800 seat Angelico Hall nearly two weeks ago. Marissa Mayer, CEO, President and Director of Yahoo, will appear alongside Gartner.

Known for her simple recipes, Garten will be discussing her new book “Barefoot Contessa Foolproof: Recipes You Can Trust.”  In the work she tells how the pairing and preparation of dishes can come together effortlessly.

Those who were not able to buy tickets to the event will have the opportunity to hear Garten live or later in podcast on radio.dominican.edu.
