(Photo/ K. Torralva) Freshman occupational therapy major Salvador Chavez joked and laughed when he was told by Director of Residence Life Loralie Young to tighten the roll and “use his muscles” in order to safely secure her from sliding.

The fund-raising event “Tape Loralie to the Wall” went off without a hitch during lunch hour on Thursday, Nov. 15, in front of Caleruega Dining Hall. Participating contributors purchased lengths of duct tape to add to an architectural collage, joining Director of Residence Life Loralie Young to the dining hall pillar.

The event was sponsored by the Rotaract Club of Dominican in order to raise funds for  “End Polio Now.”  Just two hours into the event, Rotaract had raised enough money to vaccinate 106 people against polio.
