Tropical permaculture explained in special Living Mandala/Venture Greenhouse event Nov. 29

San Rafael — John Valenzuela, horticulturist, consultant, and permaculture educator comes to Dominican University of California’s Venture Greenhouse on Thursday, Nov. 29, from 6 to 9 p.m. Valenzuela lived in Hawaii for 15 years where he practiced, experimented with and taught horticulture and tropical permaculture.  Valenzuela will discuss how his work combines methods of natural forest landscaping to create and maintain garden sites that produce food and other products and reuse waste. He has taught his sustainable methods of permaculture to children, students, professionals, farmers, property owners and renters.
