Through the lens of a master—the Civil Rights Movement

Throughout the month of February, in the second level gallery of the
Archbishop Alemany Library at Dominican University of California hangs
an exhibit featuring historic photographs of the Civil Rights Movement
by photojournalist Matt Herron. The exhibit is titled “Three Hats: The
Civil Rights” and includes memorable photos such as the Selma March led
by Martin Luther King in the ‘60s.

The opening reception for the exhibit will be held in the gallery on
Thursday, February 7 at 6:00 p.m. Herron will also discuss his
photography work shooting for “Time,” “Life,” “Look,” “The Post” and
other publications with Communications students at 1:40 p.m. on
Tuesday, February 12 in Library 200. The campus community is invited
to attend this special presentation.
