Gavin Newsom to discuss citizenship in the digital age March 6

SAN RAFAEL, Calif. — California Lieutenant Governor and former Mayor of San Francisco, Gavin Newsom, will discuss his book, “Citizenville: How to Take the Town Square Digital and Reinvent Government” at Dominican University of California Wednesday, March 6.

Newsom will begin his talk at 7 p.m in Angelico Hall. His book tells how ordinary citizens can use new digital tools to dissolve political gridlock and transform American democracy.

Newsom is an alumni of local Redwood High School in Corte Madera, California. He was also Dominican’s 2010 commencement speaker.

The event is free for everyone, but, priority seating will be limited to persons with a copy of the book. Books will be sold both before and after the event. Doors open at 6:00 p.m.
